Researchers discovered that 6-shogaol was able to reduce the buildup of amyloid beta in the brain, a key contributor to Alzheimer's.
Alzheimer's is a brain disease that can make people forget things and act differently than normal. It is named after Lois Alzheimer the founder of the disease.
For example, it makes its victims to start speaking in strange tongues and seeing the unusual, and saying weird things. LOL!
Okay, let's get serious now, shall we?
But the researchers found out that something special in ginger, called 6-shogaol, could help.
Ginger is a food that has a zingy taste and has a bunch of good stuff in it, like vitamins and antioxidants. And 6-shogaol is one of the good stuff in ginger. It can reduce the bad stuff that builds up in the brain, called amyloid beta.
While this research is still in its early stages, the findings offer a promising new avenue for Alzheimer's treatment and provide more evidence for the potential health benefits of ginger.
